The district’s Automobile Management Division announced the free holiday vehicle safety inspection plan on September 2. The measure is aimed at preemptively reducing the risk of accidents caused by inadequate vehicle maintenance, given that long-distance driving surges during the holiday season.
During the Chuseok holiday period, long-distance and extended driving increases compared to usual, which is known to raise the risk of accidents caused by problems with tires, engines, brakes and other key components due to wear. Through the free inspections, the district plans to help residents check their vehicles’ condition in advance at no cost and spend the holiday safely.
The district expects the service to provide practical benefits not only for residents’ holiday travel convenience but also for the prevention of traffic accidents.
