Posted Article No. 53150

The Guwol 2-dong Resident Self-Governing Council of Namdong-gu, Incheon, announced on the 20th that it successfully concluded its 2026 Resident General Assembly on the 14th at the Guwol 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center (행정복지센터), with active participation from residents. The assembly gathered opinions from a majority of residents through advance voting and on-site participation, recording a turnout that far exceeded the threshold required for the assembly to be formally established.

Three Proposed Projects Confirmed Amid Congratulatory Performance by Ieum Choir

The event featured a congratulatory performance by the Ieum Choir, composed of Guwol 2-dong’s neighborhood heads, along with a screening of a video on the Resident Self-Governing Council’s activities, making it a meaningful occasion where residents directly decided matters concerning their community.

At the assembly, three proposed projects were finally selected: ‘Creating an Open Mini Library,’ ‘Making an At-a-Glance Map of Our Neighborhood,’ and ‘Go-Go-Sing Field Trip with Angels.’

“Resident Participation Is the Force That Builds a Better Tomorrow”

Chairperson Jeon Ok-ja (전옥자) of the Resident Self-Governing Council shared her thoughts, saying, “The interest and participation of each and every resident is the force that builds a better tomorrow for Guwol 2-dong,” adding, “We will do our utmost to embrace residents’ opinions and create a more livable community.”
